What changed in King County dividends?

Tax years 2022 and 2023

Qualified dividends reported by King County returns with AGI of $200,000 or more fell from $6.340 billion in TY2022 to $5.314 billion in TY2023, a 16.2% decline. The available data do not establish why.

Annual tax-return groups do not follow the same people. Qualified dividends are part of ordinary dividends; different AGI groups cannot establish an offset between categories. The cause is unresolved.
